alright whats the deal with these zc dohc motors why does everybody want them and what can you do to them

well they are a cheap dual cam d series engine that make great tq and hp numbers. they also swap right into 88 to 93 year vehicles with no problems. they are ideal to turbo but they lack support for internal components. they are fun but upgrades are harder to find than with a sohc d-series or any b, h, or f series motor. hope that explained things and answered your questions.

heres one for you guys can you take the head off of the zc and bolt it on a y7 block

i have one in an 89 integra

yo that f-cking head swap clip you sent is f-cking sweat
lot of work though but wow that motor sounds nice

basically, they're strong d-series motors that can be bolted up to your existing d-series axles, transmission, clutch, mounts, wiring, etc.

they're 1.6 liters with 75mm bore and 90mm stroke

they come in SOHC and DOHC versions. most of the time people refer to ZCs as the DOHC versions, which make 125-130hp.

Honda stopped making them because the d16z6 sohc vtec was cheaper to make, made the same power, and weighs less.
