Default Element Conversion 2WD > 4WD help

I just moved to a wet and snowy part of the country. Rather than trade my 2WD car for a 4WD model, I am considering a converting my car to 4WD.

I'd like to know if the 2WD chassis can accept a conversion. Bonus if anyone has a list of part numbers for me. My car has an Automatic Trans. I'm hoping that there is a simple kit for the cockpit controls.

Why?

FWD is the next best thing to AWD in the snow. I've been driving FWD Hondas in Michigan and Illinois for years now without a problem. Plus, unless you can fabricate parts and have a LOT of experience modifying cars, then this project is going to end up costing you lots more then it would take to simply trade your current one in for a 4WD model.

So unless you've got mad money invested into modifications on your current Element, I don't see any point in pursuing this. There's no way in hell it will be cost effective, and it will void any warranty that you may have left...

^ That's kind of easy to say in the flat lands. Having said that I live in Pa and any Honda/Toyota FF I have driven has been a fing tank in the snow.. even with bald toyo proxies /cb7. If you know a bit about driving and you can actually drive with out making severe weight transfers you'll be fine.
