It's a K23, yes. I just saw one at the auto show in Detroit the other day. I'm not sure about the turbo though.

a stock turbo k-series motor small or not is an awesome idea. even though it isn't the k20a or k24.

I think he was talking about the turbo actually. The motor is a K23, so bigger than a K20, but just short of a K24.

I meant the turbo too. but doesn't the k20 put out more power than the k24?

Not necessarily. There's lots of different versions of both. It really depends on whether or not the particular motor has the "good version" of i-VTEC. For example, the K20 that came in the 02-05 Si = 160 horses. The K20 that came in the RSX Type S = 200 horsepower. Same thing for the K24 Accord vs. the K24 TSX, you're looking at 166 horses in the Accord compared to 200+ horses in the TSX, both from a K24 engine.

doesn't the new RDX have some odd turbo, like some diesels and porches that have the VTC turbos?

its a variable timing turbo. it is run by the ecu, and it boosts up to 13.5 psi. according to honda. Not to mention somehow they actually made what is inside the turbo housing itself more simple, some stuff is actually mounted outside the turbo.

never mind I went and looked it up I have never heard of it til just now. How dumb. Honda made a motor which is basically a de-tuned slow ass k-series motor? Let me guess it gets insane gas mileage
