Whats the offset of the wheels?
running 175's would not make a difference b/c their only .4 inches thinner. If your tires are stickin out they may hit the fenders when you bottom out so see if you can put enough weight on the car to see if they will hit when the car bottoms out. It will probably will look better any ways with your fenders rolled if your wheels are stikkin out. Some reputation points would be nice ![]() |

its all depends on the offset..

anyways.. w/ a 0 offset you'll need to add some camber to get it to tuck and roll the fenders possibly |

Honda wheels have around +40mm offset so you may or may not have a problem with +12mm offset which is around an inch difference. The 175mm tires actually may help.
I know what im talking about eg6sir Some rep points for me would be cool!Last edited by hooligan; 08-31-2009 at 11:16 PM. |

sure.. but it'll be negative if you beg for it..
... so, if you still want that rep.. i can give it to you or you can forget about it.. anyways, you're wrong still.. big lips will usually have a negative offset or a low positive offset __________________

please explain why civic wheels have around +40mm offset? He is getting +12mm offset which means the mounting surface is 12mm to the outside of the centerline which means they will stick out more. What part does not make sense?

take a gander at this .. notice the wider the rim, the less chance that it'll be a positive offset wheel.. thats because wide wheels have a bigger lip usually ![]() |

The big lip has nothing to do with offset. It all depends on the mounting surface and were it is compared to the centerline of the wheel.
And that chart you have is backspace which is a different measurment than offset. Backspace is measuring the back edge of the wheel compared to the mounting surface. Please do some research then you will see. I really should have at leas 100 rep points by now. |

![]() And to the OP who cares, get some flare if need be, my friend is tucking a set of Axis OG Sans with the 3 inch lip and fender flares on his EK, looks sick. __________________

Camber, Caster, Tow. If your talking about that camber than he will be running on the insides of his tires( same thing happens when lowering cars) and the inside of the tire will wear out much quicker. It also will affect stearing if done to much. If thats what your talkin bout. sorry if its a different camber than what you are talkin about.

first off, this discussion is about offset, not about camber.. the OP said he wanted to tuck... well, in order to tuck a +0 offset, or hell.. even a +12 offset .. he'll need to run more camber

here is the website to explain offset, and backspace please read carefully to understand it.
https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html this should end this argument if you read and understand it. ![]() Last edited by hooligan; 09-01-2009 at 12:58 AM. |
