the WHOLE fucking drivetrain.

seriously, search. im SURE this has been covered before.

:concur: lots

if you want awd youll need to buy a dsm or a car with it already.

unless you have mad $$$$$

buy an sti or evo. it will be cheaper.

+1...plus they are going to be more reliable and handle better. why be different? it's so much easier and more efficient to just do a swap and build it. you won't ever rally a civic and that's about all you need the awd for.

plus the crv awd sucks. isn't like 80/20 power differential anyways?

check out honda tuning, and order a back issue
they did a built like this, but i don't think it had that much HP, but they go through how to make it an actual 4wd and not the limited slip shit

for what i know that the all wheel drive from the crv transvers up 90% of the power to the rear tires when the front wheels begin to spin
thats why i would love to have this setup
and would love to go to shop and buy an evo don`t have the money
i can build this setup myself

how can you build it yourself? if you are an expert at fabricating you don't really need our help. i know that nobody on here could do it. we can only point you in the direction of someone who possibly can.

If you can build this thing yourself then why are you asking us for help and why are you working with a tuner? And if you can't afford to go to a dealership and buy an EVO or an STI, then you can't afford to build an 700 hp turbo B20 and convert your Civic to AWD...

because i a`m working in a metalshop i can weld bent ect and i can`t afford a evo because you can`t buy it piece by piece can you ?
and i`m working with a tuner becauce he has more knowleg about engine tuning

why dont you just buy a 5G mirage and swap an EVO motor/drivetrain in? it would be WAY cheaper than your project and about 1/10 the custom work.

sorry that won`t cut it for me i`m a huge honda fan and i`m not going for parts of another brand or a other car
call me nuts or stupid or whatever thats just me

well then have fun with your project that will easily cost you ~15k

haha good luck on that. getting a civic to 600 hp will cost that much. it would take the best fabricators at least 6 months to do the drive train conversion.

i would rather have a 300 hp eg for about $6000. there is no reason on earth to have a honda with more than 300hp unless it is full drag. period, end of story.

for 6K you can purchase a 97 mirage frame, buy an evo 4/5/6/6.5 motor and drivetrain, and have it installed.

and a badass autox car for the summer.

not to mention buying a 4-banger and hitting 13's as a reliable DD for cheap.

I agree and disagree with you, it can be done.. doesn't take that much $, you just have to do alot of hacking and welding and with all work thats needed it'll be strictly for racing when its done.. this guy named Greg over here in So Cal currently has a awd crx and eg hatch that he made into auto x cars.. He's actually famous in the import scene, was on MTV i wanna be a street racer with his RHD crx turbo and RHD all motor dc2.. and in FATF during race wars and he's in a new movie called Streets of Legend.. as for the bi turbo set up never heard of it on a 4 cyl motor thats was able to work properly. and 600-700 hp there is no point in going awd.. if you really want a honda awd race car then you should look into a civic ef wagon or sedan because some came awd and the swap is very easy.
