Default Function 7 LCA's

Hey everyone, so I was lookin at lower control arms today, and I came across the Function 7 pieces. I was wondering, if anyone is running em now or has had them in the past, what were your impressions on em? For the cost Id hope they're top notch parts, but maybe theyre not. Also, how does their strength compare to other brands? I like the looks of the webbing in the machined pockets, but I would imagine it might make them a lil weaker than the solid pieces. LMK what you guyd think, thanks.

They've been around for awhile; just not a lot of people have them. I haven't heard anything bad about them. Also, those arms were designed using a modeling program(I forgot the name) which pretty much shows stress areas, etc. They are well-engineered pieces; if you've ever noticed bridge truss have similar designs(referring to the "web pockets").

btw, when they first came out the arms weren't as expensive as they are now.

Sweet deal, thanks for the input. IMO they are great lookin pieces, which is why they got my attention, but Im a function > form person, so I wasnt about spend the extra money for sumthin that wouldnt benefit me.

The bridge truss design similarity makes sence, thanks for the refference.

This is true lol. I was just lookin out for a Blox or XS Power type of part tho lol. One thing I need to work on is my understanding of suspension parts for Hondas. I can setup leaf spring cars and 4-link coilover setups, but when comes to Honda suspension, Im clueless. I am always lookin for advice tho lol, so any input you have is welcome.

hondas has multi-link, as do most FWD mitsus.

Thats what I was thinkin. Ive run that program a few times. For any shop that can actually use the full potential of it, that program is second to none. The virtual stress test is pretty cool to watch to. I usta make things just to test em on it lol.

I really like the way the Function 7s look. They are by far the best Ive seen, except for this CRX at auto-x that had custom made tubular ones with hiem joints instead of bushings, soo sexy looking.

They where pretty slick, the guy owns his own fab shop, and builds insane dune buggies and what not. There was so much trick home-brewed bling on this thing it was rediculos.

Lol, theres nothin like some home engineered parts. The welder I work with could put some nice stuff togather. He welds Boeing tools togather all day and he can keep his parts well within the 0.030 of an inch.
