Default New Tires Rubbin' (Options?)

I just put 205 50 r15 with a +45 offset 6 inch rim. It is close to the fender well but seems okay.
But when I am turning kinda sharp (90 degree in a parking lot) and the suspension flexes on a bump...I here the rub.
I 'think' its rubbing on the inner fender well. I know I can take them out but I was wondering if anyone trimmed them?
Or just took the center plastic screw out?
I know I can have the fenders rolled but seems crazy with LS Mesh and 205's.
seems like lots of EG's can run that set up. I'm only tucked a little tiny bit

If its hitting the factory plastic fender liners, you can heat that area up with a heat gun and massage it a little for better clearance. That only really works if its barely rubbing though, you won't get very much movement.

I know....I kick myself for not getting 195/50's.
I think I am rubbing on the plastic screw thats at the top of the tire. I also felt another hole
that is a few inches from the top screw. I am going to mess with it tomorrow and see what
relocating the screw does. If it works, it will give me a little extra room. It only rubs for a
split second when the springs compress from a bump when making a hard turn.

Thanks guys

I have 2-1/4" Neuspeed race springs that are well settled
KYB shocks and camber kits. I'll take a picture tomorrow

No wear yet. They're brand new tires and I have only rubbed 4-5 times so far.

Sounds like you screwed up. 215 on a 6 inch wide wheel? wtf?

Raise the car about 1/4", that'll fix the problem.

How many miles on the shocks?

In how many miles have you rubbed only 4 or 5 times?

The only reason a setup like that would rub is because something is bottoming out/too low.

give yourself another degree of camber if you can. it will likely clear the rub if its hitting on top

My shocks probably have 20-30K on them.....I can tell they're getting a little tired from how they felt new.
Just don't feel like buying new ones right now (b/c I would just buy good coil-overs and that's $$$)

I've already spent well over $3K in the last few months (with the new swap and blah blah blah)

im suprised you rub really. there are a lot of people running 205/50s that are pretty slammed with no problems.

i know my car is 2.5" down from stock height and i dont rub. but when i used to have 16s with a lower offset and 205/45s i did slightly rub the fender liner.

I am surprised that I am rubbing too. I've seen lots of guys roll around lower then me with 205's. Its common on EG's. Its only slightly rubbing and I think if i try to either melt the plastic back (like phyregod said) or take the center plastic screw out might help too. Its not a big deal b/c the rubbing is minimal but would rather not have any rubbing at all.

Ah....I get it. I will look into that today. I'm heading out of town but will check it when I get a hold of a jack. It doesn't rub at all driving down the road under suspension flex....so I guess it could be worse

Here's a decent picture of the tire close to the plastic screw

I can see the rolled fender being a solution but seems like camber wouldn't do that much to the clearance when the wheel is turned....it would be beneficial when going straight.....but can't see it helping much for wheel turns...at least when thinking what it'll do to the tire wear and weighing it all out.

it looks like your options are...

A. get your fenders rolled
B. remove fender liner
C. deal with it rubbing a little when you corner (what i would probably do)
