I'm with E, even though I'm in the predicament of needing one of those for my rims. The ones that came with the rims were also NeoGen's.

I've never been a fan of Nitto's either, as when I used to have them a while back, they seem to "crack" under pressure, meaning after a few thousand miles, I think two or three of the side walls cracked on me.

If you are able to, I personally would suggest something else like Falken, Suhmitomo or another brand. Best of luck to you.

By the way, E, why do you not like them?

I would not want anyone else to go through what I went through before, that is why I let you know of my bad experience with them. That is not to say that others have not had better luck with them. I'm in the unfortunate need of one stinkin' NeoGen because the rims that I've had at my mechanic's house have three of them already and I do not feel like wasting, nor do I have the money to waste on four new tires. That and the others are next to new condition.

Best of luck my friend.

That would make more sense to me than performance, Kevin. Hell, my own tire guy whom I have been going to for ten years doesn't even carry them. He warned me about them YEARS ago and yes, he was right. Mind you they weren't the NeoGen's that I had problems with but still, a Nitto is a Nitto.

Hankook R-S2's are actually pretty good; some people like them better than the Azenis RT-615, and Sumitomo has a tire in the same class(HTR or something like that) that's decently priced.

I think my previous or current set on my EG (I'd go check, but it's at my mechanic's now) were or are Suhmitomo's. They were quite nice to me.

i was looking at some of those and they weren't really that expensive, not that would complain about a low price by any means, but I've heard pretty good things about them i was just surprised about the price

Know how I found out about Suhmitomo's? I let my tire guy pick out each and every set of tires that have gone on my car for the past ten years. haha I wanted the new Falken's and he said they weren't out yet, but he had something I should try out that others have been happy with. Trusting him, I went with the Suhmitomo's (I think I keep spelling their name wrong. haha) and was impressed with the great grip they provided. Not to mention, they did not wear out at 20,000'ish like the Nitto's I previously owned. I THINK they were Z rated, if not close to it.

yeah I am going to look into some Falkens because that seems to be one of the top brands I keep hearing about, but if they are too expensive i might have to check into some S*******O's because they were pretty reasonably priced

It's a shame you don't live in Florida or else I would refer you to my tire guy. He has NEVER charged me more than $300 for any set of 16's I have bought. I think the 18's I bought for my mechanic were somewhere around $380, which is $70 cheaper than anywhere else I looked.

no doubt, the sumitomos are average 60-70 bucks at tirerack.com so...i do want to look into some falkens though, i was looking at some Ziex ZE-912, 329, or 512 , these are falkens all season tires which would prob. be best for me since I live in va...

They have both been good tires to me. I'm ALMOST tempted to take pictures of the NeoGen and the nice little bulges that it has on it...but then that would be revealing my new EK rims a bit too early. Let me know what you end up going with.

I think what it's going to come down to is if the Falkens will be worth the extra money...i have been running Mirada Sport GTX's and they cost like $9*, of course I got those at a private little country tire shop, and they had the hardest trouble putting them on, i believe from what I was told is that they did have the newer tire thing that put's on the low profile tire' on easily, and they used to bang my rims all up, and since I recently had my rims professionally painted i am gonna have to take them somewhere else
