Default wheel setup for my ek

I wanna put new wheels and tires in my 96 ek. From what i've heard, 16" are the way to go. These are the ones i like.

http://passwordjdm.com/images/Produc...ls%20Large.jpg

I just dont know what the lug ratio for my hatch id. I wanna say it 5x100, but im not for sure.

And for tires, i have no flippen idea what size to get. I dont want a big gap between my fender and the top of the wheel, but dont want big tires either.

Any help would be good.

Did you do the five lug conversion? If not you have 4x100 and Type-R wheels obviously wont fit. But if so, their bolt pattern is 5x114.3.

I just got my ek bout 6 months ago.
I didnt know they were anything other than a 5 lug pattern. Haven't taken the wheels off to see if it was a conversion, but im guessin it is.

But the ctr rims i saw are a 5x114. Is there a difference between that, and the 5x114.3 that you mentioned?

Im pretty sure those are just stuck on hub caps with a fake 5 lug pattern stamped in. Only type R Civics and Integras got the 5 lug bolt pattern (in this platform at least.) Take the caps off and you'll more than likely find you have the stock 4X100 bolt pattern.

Ha. I feel like a dumb ass. I forgot that the wheels had those ugly ass covers on them. so no, i dont have a 5 lug conversion on them.

lol. It happens some times. There are no 4 lug CTRs so youre SOL unless someone made similar replicas. They're nice rims but for as much or less you can pick up a nice set of Rotas. They generaly go for $400-500.

rotas are lightweight, cheap, common, and come in a lot of nice styles... thats why so many of the honda crowd buys them. if you want 16x7 wheels you will want to put 205/45/16 tires on them. some people do 205/40/16 but that is actually slightly smaller than the oem diameter, plus more sidewall with the 45 series improves ride quality.
