engine bay painted championship white. i may just do this color for the white on the body because it looks pretty good and i dont feel like screwing with a 3 stage paint.

re-powder coated the valve cover. if anyone needs cheap powdercoating for small items in the bay area, pm me.

got the seat and steering wheel in
DSCN1050.jpg

DSCN1051.jpg

had to fab up some brackets because the guy that had the car before me thought it was a good idea to take the stock ones out. i fitted up and designed the brackets and i had my buddy weld them in because i suck badly at welding.

got my dash from jegs in the mail today. its going to need some major trimming.
DSCN1073.jpg

for some reason, the guy that had the car before me used a cutting torch on the upper strut plate.
DSCN1074.jpg

cage is all wrapped up and the inside is almost ready for paint. probably a good 3-4 more hours of prep
DSCN1076.jpg

so i made a plate. i still need to drill the holes in it and weld it in, but you get the idea.
DSCN1075.jpg

i have a small update, and im kind of scratching my head at this one. i tried bolting up the engine mount to the engine and the way it sits is really crooked. the engine will tilted so far forward like this. anyone know whats up?

DSCN1077.jpg

DSCN1078.jpg

a few more pics of the supercharger. if any of you guys wants to buy it, ill cut you a sweet deal.

drilled and welded the upper strut mounts. didnt turn out as pretty as i had hoped but its strong as hell and a nice strut bar will cover all that nastyness.

gas tank is welded shut. my buddy warped the sheet metal kind of bad so its going to take some banging and a nice skin coat of metal 2 metal filler to get it looking pretty again.

why is there a front hoop welded on that car??
what are the pnas other than the ctr motor?

there was a front loop welded as part of the cage because this car used to have an h22 running low 9's. i am now making it an endurance car.

low 9's!? I don't know if I would want to be in a crx going that fast

yea dude. im pretty sure the power from that engine warped the frame a little because after i cut off the loop and tried to bolt up the radiator support, i had to use the porter frame puller to line up all the top mounting holes. i hope it doesnt effect handling too bad but its nothing a few extra points in the roll cage wont fix :D

should be good..how bad off were the holes?

the drivers side frame rail holes were off about a quarter inch but the upper mount on the wall where the fender goes was off about a whole inch. the frame rail is straight now but i just need to tweak the top mount now.

ouch..was the car ever hit? that sounds like alot just for a motor to move it

well, to fit the alternator to the H22, the drivers side frame rail has to be hammered in a little bit. i attribute the condition its in to that. id probably be better off getting a different shell and using that, but this shell was given to me, its a clean title 88 si which is becoming more rare by the day. the build continues!

You need bang a bit of the engine bay around to get the H22 to fit

yup and now its pretty impossible to pound it back out at this point. oh well. the frame will be plenty stiff the way the roll cage is and the few additions i will be adding to it.

i wouldnt run that motor to 9k without doing arp rod bolts and some new bearings..
