i have converted my ef8 to obd1 it idles lumpy and cuts out under any amount of throtle any1 experianced this:(

gas is good me mate prooved that when testing injectors got me in the eye quater tank reading anyway everything seems fine (a litle slow and lumpy but ive seen worse run, into vtec aswell )until throtle is opened

as my distributor and laba sensor are from obd2 cars and ecu obd1 i got a leaflet of info with conversion harness followed it to the t only to get the results i am reporting could this be becausemost conversions are based on obd1 and i might have got a wire wrong

sooo is this motor obd1 or 2? if your dizzy is obd 2 and ur ecu is obd1 w/o conversion bein right its gonna run all whacko if at all

right sit back relax and read on
b18c4 block and distributor, lamba (O2) sensor (european gsr i believe) obd2 from 1999 civic vti aero
b16a head 1990 crx sir used due to diferent obd0
ecu p30 from crx vti 1994 obd1 with harness addapter from HOND-R.CO.UK
all above worked fine in my eg3 civic
so as 4 run well kept me on the road for 4 years like that until the suspension colapsed going round corner so as for whacko you wouldnt belive the frustration it caused others.
NOW progress if you wish to help and stop taking p*ss
firing order is right
good spark fueling well ecu light comes on 30 seconds in. It is only firing 1 and 3 even though good spark to 2 and 4 am going to get compression tester as the twat that changed the head origionally put gasket back to front so have suspision of bent valves. (head mechanic) was done in a garage
So if any of you can point me further in the right direction without taking the p*ss i would be verry gratefull as my day job is a chef not a greese monkey and i have got this far working around my job without the help of so called mechanics that have let me down several times with this car because they cant seem to work it out because they are all vw or opel fans this is a bit beond them just the thought japanese makes them sweat

Been there done that, it drove me civix!

after days of research, on another site.
I read one sentence that made all the difference in the world.
Here it is.
" Be sure to shield your distributor wires";)

I think by Lamba sensor he means Oxygen sensor and yes if it is wired wrong it could cause this because your A/F ratio will be off.

yep dno why.
cool will have to double check with suplier of harness then becaus they suplied me with info to re wire it
