    jdm engine

    One of the major differences between the two are the pistons i believe, the red valve cover engine has nigher performance pistons.. runs at a slightly higher compression due to is ability to over the black valve cover engine. Also the 220hp vesion of the h22 is called a Type-S.

    :spin: i'd go h23 just because they have plenty of power abnd torque, plus they make good numbers when turboed and there is no vtec to worry about if and when u do go turbo.

    Umm... well if u can get that h23 in there ur looking at great power. Aftermarket is strong behind the h23, and if its built as well as u say it is then ur getting alot of hard work done for u already. As for turbos, the h23 is GREAT for turbos. Everything about the motor is better for turboing...

    You will not wanna put a h22 in there...and then run the Prelude S tranny..that would be the stupidiest thing in the world...please don't ever do that...that is wasting ur ludes potential.....If ur going turbo maybe u could even swap the h23 tranny..but dont keep the s tranny..
