It can be done. It simply requires converting the ECU to VTEC. You basically convert the PM6 to it's automatic counterpart, the PS9. You would then need to run the PGMFI one wire PM6 VTEC code. You need to research at PGMFI and Turboedit
I'm fairly certain that the LS uses an external transmission controller. I say that because the high side switches that generally control the solenoids on the tranny are not present in the B series ECUs.
If you are looking to spend $20 on a chip kit on eBay, I could set you up with a EPROM with P30 fuel and timing, with only an extended rev limiter and the knock sensor disabled for the same price shipped. That way you wouldn't need to adjust the A/F ratio, and you would be running on OEM B16 code.

But really, that was an excellent post man. Most people don't realize these things are just ventilation fans for the engine compartment in a boat. :ghey:
