    ZC tranny question

I thought you could just use D-series axles but I was wrong. https://hondaswap.com/forums/index.php?...topic=20502&hl= Apparently a JDM ZC intermediate shaft is the only one that will work. then use 90-93 L & R axles(which you probably already knew).

    Automatic B-series swap?

Wrong. http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/vanilla_ice/bio.jhtml Vanilla Ice aka Robert Van Winkle, hailing form Miami, Florida. took 2 seconds to find and it's embarassing that you guys thought you knew the guy's name. Must've come from years of worshiping him and following his concerts around the...

    Automatic B-series swap?

Thanks for the quality replies guys. I'm just waiting on a reply from mr. Milan. And if you want to criticize my income, which I think is pretty good for a 24 yr old that moved out at 17 and had no help from parents, put your money where your mouth is and let's see your paycheck stubs, rich...

    Automatic B-series swap?

I apologize to everyone else, that last post was directed at Mr. Milan, who thinks he knows everything. Just wanted to show him a less "passive" side of myself. If he still questions my credentials, bring it on MUTHERFUCKER!

    Automatic B-series swap?

Hey, Milan, if you want to make this personal, what kind of loser school do you attend in Boca Raton? Most likely Florida Atlantic University. Guess what, I can earn an MBA from them over the internet!! It took me 2 minutes to find that out. You must be very SPECIAL to be in such a highly...

    PS and Tranny problems

no, the Synchromesh fluid is a drop-in replacement, not an additive. A lot of typeR owners swear by the stuff. It's $9 a quart at my local Chevy dealer. Also, there's another type with a Limited Slip Differential additive, but it's a little more expensive. Not needed unless you have an LSD tranny.

    Automatic B-series swap?

Brian C., Please deactivate my user ID. You've built a great site with a wealth of information. I especially like the reference, swap guide, gallery, and articles sections that aren't available on the other forum-only sites(e.g., honda-acura.net, honda-tech.com) They could learn a lot from...

    Automatic B-series swap?

hahaha, that picture had to make me laugh. Plus it only further emphasized the point I quoted above. You have posted twice to this thread, and neither one had a damn thing to do with the poor guy's original question... What a fine example you set as a moderator, with all your funny comics and...

    Automatic B-series swap?

I did one. Don't look for much help on this board, there's only a few people I've talked to in the country that have done this swap. Plus everybody is too quick to throw their criticism in your post to realize that built auto swaps are the best way to go for consistent ETs in bracket racing...

something is wrong with my B!

Check the transmission ground strap. My old 93 civic just died one day after stalling at speed a couple times in previous days. Turns out whoever replaced the clutch for the previous owner didn't bolt the ground strap to the tranny.

    PS and Tranny problems

not sure about the PS pump, but I'm almost positive the pumps are different. On my Brother's swap, (1stgen B16 into an EG), the angle was all wrong where the existing PS line bolted to the pump. We had to splice the correct end piece onto the EG PS line, and used the B16 ps pump. Works just...

    Tranny Question

Answered my own question by doing a little research. You CAN use USDM d-series axles with a ZC tranny. Granted, the torque steer will be worse, but it is possible to use the long/short axle arrangement on a ZC tranny, DOHC or not. Until anybody can prove otherwise with first-hand experience...

    auto to manual ecu

Don't give mis-information. It's discouraging to the person asking the question. Fortunately, we can look at post counts and usually determine the credibility of the source(but not always): http://www.hondata.com/downloads/installat...on%20manual.doc Bottom of page 8. Same process as a PR3 ecu.

    97 D16y8 into an 89 civic 4dr DX

MSD rpm activation switch, runs about $40 I think from summit. Use a 90-91 ECU and run Ghettodyne fuel management and you can actually create a VTEC fuel and ignition map from the stock maps. Best of all it's free.
