It’s great at night. Easy to see and not bright at all. It’s even great in the sun during the day.

It’s much lower on mine though. Same mount I’m sure.

Went to a carwash today. Got the passenger footwell wet. *Sigh* so I'm gonna have to figure that out.

On the plus side, the UltraGauge is working well, and the long term fuel trim is getting back to normal with the new spark plugs.

And, the new engine mounts are here, for whenever I get around to installing 'em.

Whats the towing capacity?

American Honda says 1000lbs. UK Honda says 1300lbs unbraked and 2600lbs braked. My trailer is rated at 1500lbs (weighs 265lbs) and unbraked, so I'm not worried. I'm certainly not going to be rolling into the dump at 9980 in this, lol.

I still haven't completely decided to get rid of the RamCharger yet, but that's the one thing it's good for -- towing stupid loads. someone I know may have accidentally/purposefully pulled the front wheels off the scales to keep legal.

I got bored. Again.

Did some of the hood to see if it made a difference. I think it did.

Then, I moved on to the fender.

And after:

I think I'm gonna do the rest of the car with this polishing compound. :D

Polishing / Cleaning is great to music or a podcast. I didn't get to the vehicles this weekend unfortunately. Pulled all the weeds in the front (in the fucking rain) and worked in the garage on organization and putting the baby stuff away.

But where is the water coming from on the floorboard?
Clogged rain gutter on passenger side? Something around the firewall?

I finished another fender:

I think I'm going to take all the trim and door handles off the doors before I do them, then take the trim and spare tire and spare tire carrier thing off the rear before doing the rear gate. I think I may have to remove the roof rack to do the roof, we'll see.

Either way, I have no more painters' tape, so I'm gonna have to get more at some point to finish this out.

Painters' tape arrived. So I got more done.

It's looking nice. I think it'll be super shiny and lovely when I'm done.

Here's a good before/after.

It took the yellowing completely away too, which is very nice. According to my paint thickness gauge, I only took less than 0.01mm of clear coat off doing it.

So, removing the door protector triangles, should I just use a plastic razor-blade and steam/heat?

After I'm done polishing the oxidization out, I'll put a ceramic coat on.

Yesterday I replaced the valve cover gasket, because the old one was leaking, while I was at it, I put in the aluminum cam plug too. Once I get done with the paint I'll work on cleaning up the engine bay.

Looks good.

I'm going to place an order for some car care stuff this week and then clay/seal my wife's car this weekend and next week as it sits in the garage. Right now its dirty, but the rain isn't helping.

I got everything but the roof polished/buffed/compounded. It shines like a champ now.

After I finished, I wiped it down with alcohol and a microfiber, then moved on to applying this chinese ceramic coating. This is similar to the stuff I used on all the plastics.

It's cheap, so it'll probably not last very long. But, it does dry really hard, it just takes a day or so to dry. You have to lay it on thicker than the high-end ceramic coatings, so you'll use more than something like Avalon King, but for a beater car, it's a good option. I put some drops of it on one of those little microfiber sponge rounds used for applying wax, and wiped it on left to right, then top to bottom on every panel, making sure to be smooth and overlap every stroke slightly. This stuff typically takes 12-48 hours to cure completely, but it's not my only car, so nbd. It's important to not get it wet with anything until it's cured, otherwise it'll get interesting.

It's not like I'm driving anywhere anyway, lol.

Now, I just have to figure out how I'm going to do the roof. Maybe a step stool and/or standing on the seat cushions? Dunno, I'll figure it out.
