Me and my cuz are gonna start the project. We have a complete B18B1 and a B16A with a rod stickin out the side. Can we use the water pump and B16 crank,piston,rods(new)? Would that give up the high reving motor that a stock B18 wont do?

Car starts up and drives but when it gets to 3500rpm it acts like revs like redlining and cant go further. P28 ecu, D15 Block, P08 Head, Y8 IM, Dizzy td42u.
I'm getting 4 quick blinks & then 1 long blink.
Also, we took it for a test run and seems like it hit a rev limit at mid rpms.(Cant tell becuz we dont have tach hooked up yet.

Injectors used are saturated 10 ohm.
Do I need the resistor box? I dont see one on a 92-95 engine diagram with the P28 ecu. I am using the redpepperracing diagrams and are not that clear.

The cars starts up on first crank. You can rev it but try driving it and it has no real go. My brother told me he had a 2.25 exhaust pipe done and I'm thinkin there was no need...
Would the IAC, IAT, MAP be diffeferent?
The car does not have a check engine light lit idles high @ 1500rpm smokes black when reving. With the IAC disconnected it idles @ 600 or 700 rpm and still smokes rich? Whats goin on?
If anyone has read my previous post, I got the B18B1 in the EF running. Now how do I get the timing set? Theres isnt a dial with #'s on it and how would I know what degrees it set to??
B18B1 idles hi so I connect the map sensor the B16A had on the firewall and now idles @ 1500rpms. What is the correct map sensor to use and any other sensors that need to be changed since the it was originally OBD-1 and now running OBD-0 with the correct ecu & dizzy? ANyone with vaccum diagrams...
The car had a (bad) B16A (OBD-0) and a B18B1 (OBD-1) was dropped in and now need a OBD-0 to OBD-1 harness & a P74/75 ecu and should run or throw in a OBD-0 Dizzy and plug in the PR4 ecu and it should run. Correct or am I wrong?
Another thing if I go the OBD-1 route..What about the Injector Box...
