I have a freind that swapped a h22 into his 88 prelude... It starts and runs, but the engine wont rev past 3k. his speedo works, and he is using the OBDI P13 ecu. what's wrong? I cannot diagnosis the problem because he is in NJ and I'm in GA. thanks in advance!

don't attempt the B20/vtec--tom from ludespeed.com wrote a long article on his site about it, and why it didn't work as expected. the turbo is the way to go. Or you can swap an H22a into the 3rd gen prelude. Mine has 500+ hp on 93 octane daily driven. good luck!

it looks to me like the 600 hp car needed more fuel on that dyno graph.... 14:1 is too lean under boost on a turbo car at WOT. 12:1 is as lean as you want to be to be safe with boost. I've heard 9:1 if using NOS, but I don't run it so I don't have first hand Knowledge.

take your car to the local truck stop and weigh it... remove evey thing you can and let us know how much it was.... my 89 prelude weighed 2750lbs... I lost the spare, back seats, a/c(all of it, condenser, piping, ect) cruise, carpet, padding,trunk panels, rear seat belts, and also the front...

I believe your talking about the power steering lines that connect to the speed sensor? You may not need those in your car, but they were used in the prelude though. Just make a short hose into a U-shape and connect them together to keeps stuff out of the inside of the housing.
