Replacing cam chain without removing head?

Well I'm going to answer my own question soon. I think it's possible but not practical. The headgasket extends past the head onto the top of the crank case. It can probably be reused if you don't want to take the head off, because a new one requires liquid gasket in that area anyways. However...

Replacing cam chain without removing head?

Hey, is there any way to remove/install the cam chain on the s2000 by doing all the steps in the manual other then removing the head? It seems to be just to replace the chain, you need to overhaul all the seals and gaskets, kinda costly. Thanks in advance for any answer.

WTB: Daily Beater <700$, has to run

I'm looking for a daily driver since i have a project car that i want to work on, it's not a necessity, just a convenience so it would be nice if it had a/c and airbags. Looking for pretty much anything Honda/Toyota/or non-American car related. Let me know. I'm in Florida

    My new GS-R =)

Thanks thanks =) I think i'm going to pass the turbo option this time, but the STS turbo got me thinking, it's a rear-mounted on exhaust turbo, bad ass.

As i look at it: any and every alarm system out there is a theft-deterrent device. No smart thief will keep picking at a car for hours with the alarm going off. If they can't get it quick, they move on to a car that's easier. So that revalco is something not that known, and as far as anyone...

    My new GS-R =)

Heh sold, i'm getting one. Now that doesnt include the purpose of an alarm, so i'm going to get a alarm as well, with a loud siren heh. Cause with the ravelco they technically don't have to 'steal' the car, they can jus strip it right then and there.

    My new GS-R =)

so if they have a tow truck, whats next, create a smooth-frictionless surface cover on the bottom of my car, or lube the entire car in vaseline

There's no gsr badges on the integras as far as i know.. the vin number codes say its a gsr, but as for plans: ALARM: getting it on thursday, why 2 kill switches? starter kill and fuel? suspension: bought some tein basics, it already has yellow neuspeed springs and i think oem replaced shocks...

    My new GS-R =)

Mine doesn't really sound that horrible, it's just damn to loud.. but it doesnt rattle like a bumble bee or make a gorrila getting raped noise. I'm probably going to get a silencer put in, no point in changing a perfectly good exhaust. I'll just take the silencer out every time i go to the track...

    My new GS-R =)

I posted a lot in the hybrid section and such about either keeping my civic, going for a 240, boosting a b16, etc etc. So finally i found a 94 integra GS-R:D and it's in perfect condition for a car that old. The only thing i've had to fix is the axles, and maybe the compressor belt. Otherwise...

Keep the civic, or buy a 240sx?

Hey this is all opinionated, it's based on the facts you faced, and some people might not have expirienced it the same way, that is why i asked teh question, and that is why i didn't expect everyone to be nice. I also don't expect everyone to be a flaming retard. I appreciate the help i got on...

Keep the civic, or buy a 240sx?

Eh, thanks for all the help but i just resently got a GSR, it came in as a good deal and that's the type of motor i was goign to put in the civic, so i'll be rollign in an integra for a while before this issue pops up again.

    Heal and toe shifting

Didn't want to come across saying the US has the best roads for racing, or proffesional driving. I just wanted to clear up a misconception many people have about the US. And a lot of people get atleast something usefull from this site, otherwise it wouldn't be so populated. Most of the time...

    Heal and toe shifting

can't say the same for me, florida is below see level and the highest hill is probably 5ft above sea level. But i've been to cali and tenessee. For approx. 2 hours i was going through a winding highway between 2 mountains. speed limit was fast, shart turns after shart turns, huge wall on your...

    Heal and toe shifting

Heh so u've never been to california eh? or the mountains in north america?.. fun stuff. even if you're not trying to 'practice' heal and toe. The greatest thrill is the fact your still alive after you're done, and teh ride home will be even better. Edit: and if you play the Initial-D...

    Heal and toe shifting

Personal prefference. If you tried them all and you find one to be the most rewarding, or has the least opportunity cost to you, then that style is vievew best by you. That's why there's 'different' styles ou there.
