I have the opener but lost the instructions on the wiring. Does anyone have the install instructions?
I've tried searching all over the net, but no luck.
Thanks in advance.

I think i'm a give it a shot and keep ya'll updated. The only thing i will use is the DX head and keep everything else as is, i will reuse the VX manifold. This way, all sensors will remain the same, except the "minus" vtec selenoid on the head.
I have a VX with bent valves, my friend is giving me his DX head. Can i run the DX head on my D15Z motor? Keep in mind that the D15Z HX civic is a VTEC-E motor and the DX is not.
Here are the specs on both motors......

Go to Radio shack and buy the smalles flat head screw drivers they have. The tiny electronic component size (usually crome with black ends).
That will do the job.
Your new ecu should work fine. Just make sure the clip is not jumped and everything is connected properly without grounding out.
Also check your grounds from Tranny to chassis ground and valve cover to chassis ground.
I'm not sure if the paper clip would make a diffrence or even hurt the computer.
Here's a PDF version of a Prelude service manual. http://www.icelord.net/honda/repair/G%20-%...ith%20codes.pdf

I haven't realy seen this before, however if your computer is fried it would generally throw a code "0" (zero) indicating that it is fried.
Have you tried reseting the computer by taking out the battery?
When you say that the computer doesn't throw any more codes, what have you actually...
Yeah thats what the manual sais for code 0 but i've seen wiring not done properly and code 0 came out even though the ecu was good.
It'll be a good idea to try another ecu if possible. If not, make sure every single wire is making proper conection.
Check Pins B10 and B12 "Crank angle...
What coputer are you using? PR3? PWO?
Try swaping computers if you have a spare ecu.
Check pin #B16 and make sure the speed sensor is hooked up properly.
Here's a graph to help you check the wiring properly http://b16a.honda-perf.org/wiringb16.htm
Stick with a 50 shot and DO NOT Advance the timing! Its the worst thing you could do. You should retard it 1 degree instead. Also get 1 step colder plugs to further ensure your motor's life.
Del Sols are OBD1. 99 Si civics are OBD2
OBD2 started after 96 if not mistaken.
My car is OBD0 (pre OBD) so they might have designed this fucker diffrently. The OBD1 plug works though, it gives no problems electrical wise. Just fittment issues.
The bottom bolts on fine. The top bracket does not match with the Alternator's ear.
This motor came with the bottom bracket but did not come with the top one. I purchased the upper bracket at Honda. I got it for a Del sol B16 motor.
The only thing that i could think of at this point, is that...
I don't think i've tried the 90-91 Teg.
I was thinking about it, but wanted to confirm this with you guys.
If anyone can confirm, please let me know. If not, i guess i have to bug Auto Zone again :)
