Why is it that lately people have been questioning my first hand experience??

haha hell even I knew 1st gen was 8200 and 2nd was 8000.

Whats the fuel cut out for the first gen though? I know on 2nd (b16a2) it's 8150.

I'm not too sure but im pretty sure it MIGHT be something like 8400? Correct me if i am wrong, i probably am, but i'm just guessing.

ok so when were talkin jdm 1st gen is 8000 redline 8200 fuel cut, and the 2nd gen is 8200 redline 8400 fuel cut.

um no it's not the same thing.

redline is 8 grand on a b16a2. Fuel will still flow to allow the engine to spin to 8150 rpm so you're not tagging the fuel cut off everytime you redline the engine.

All engines are like this. The BPZE in my Escort redlined at 7 grand and fuel cut out was at 7200.

ok, i checked many different sites, and they all contradict each other. my rev limiter comes in at 8200 rpm, and i have a generation 2 jdm b16.

one of my buddies has a first gen jdm b16, and he told me it bounces off the rev limiter at 8k.

i don't think it really matters all that much, anyway... does it?

it really depends on the ECU you are using. not the motor itself.

I had a PR3 that redlined/fuel cut at 8200.

mugen chipped pw0, acidently took it to 9200 mis-shifting.. and in gear, took 3rd gear to 8350, around that range..

but yea, i thought first and second gens were limited to 8200..

My first gen in my rex is running off a OBD0 pr3 and it redlines at 8200 as for fuel cut off im not sure i try not to bounce of the rev limiter.

yeah id say lookin at the sir(I and II) cluters they are all 8200 but hey what do i know thats just what the eyes tell me

well my cluster is from a first gen b16 out of an integra n my redline is 8000, so maybe in the integra the redline for the 1st gen was 8000 and the 2nd gen was 8200.
