I was wondering which oil I should use on my b18c block...thanx

I use 10w30 in normal weather conditions. In the winter, I'll use 5w30 for better start up protection. 5w may free up a few hp but (depending on brand) it can also wear out faster.

You should use 10w40 in the summer if the temps go above 95. Oil thins with heat and 30 weight oil becomes just about 20 weight in high heat. We get real hot here......about 114 to 116

U don't think 10w40 is too thick for a morning startup though???I head off to work at 6a.m. and Leavvin work at 5p.m. most of my driving is particularly in cooler temps...

I run 10w40 in my B18C race motor.

In the summer its 70 by 6am. I run 10w40 all the time except during freeze time.

Shit I remember a buddy running 20w50 in his chain smoker single cam. When we pulled it apart bearings and oil pump were still in spec.
