the del Sol is a 93 (no passenger airbag)

this is not a direct drop in kind of swap
the D17 is a distributorless engine, and the ECU has an immobilizer on it, so you will need to swap the ENTIRE harness/ecu/ignition from the civic, it will be a giant pain in the ass

you should have all the bits to make it work, but it would be a ton of work for not much end result

not worth the trouble/headaches IMO

Not worth the time or hastle and very little if any power gain lol welcome to hondaswap though ! Least your hear for swaps instead of hey my shit doesnt run what do I do and never seen again :D also the mounts are different on the d17 and its obd2b vs obd1 in the sol, put a obd1 dohc zc in it and call it a day

The delsol is stock and auto I dont like .. hit hot a tree goin slow now its stucj at high idle I dont know to much but i got a few friends that kno alot im just seein if i need extra parts to swap it but have every tool known to main kind at my reach.. I cant find any other shell around my for cheap.. was palnning on takin the D17a2 motor out the civic and rebuilding it

Just the cheapest way to go on my end i dont wanna get rid of the civic but it aint doin nothing in my yard so I figuered fun project to do..

What part of it isnt going to be a direct drop in swap dont you understand, the money you will spend on a swap or much less fixing what youve got will be less expensive or time consuming for very little to no power gain with the d17 , if you can handle that swap and getting it running you should be able to diagnose why the sol isnt running right to begin with

this is a shit idea and will not work out the way you are hoping it will

here are your options:
strip both cars and sell them for parts and buy something else
strip the civic and sell it for parts and buy a B swap for the del sol
waist a shit ton of time and money trying to get that D17 into the del sol and eventually get fed up and scrap the whole project in frustration for a fraction of what you could have made if you just stripped and sold them months ago

in the end the choice is yours and you are free to make whatever mistakes you chose to make
