I have a built 2000 Civic Si with a Greddy turbo kit installed, which came with a blue piggyback computer. This is before the e-manage came out, so its pre-emanage, I have since taken it off and installed an V-AFC II along with 440 cc injectors. The car runs good at times and other times runs not so well which i attribute to the CEL on. I need for this car to pass emissions as it will soon be required for this year.

Any suggestions for i may be forced to put back the piggyback computer, replace the 440cc with the 310 cc from the kit in order to get it to run right and pass emissions. :(

pull the codes that the computer is throwing which makes your check engine light come on....then get back to us....otherwise from what youve said its nearly impossible to diagnose the problem

throw out both the emanage and the vafc, and get a REAL fuel management solution, like uberdata.

I have never heard of Uberdata, do they have a website?

And more importantly will it pass emissions as I know that Hondata requires a switch from ODB2 to ODB1, and because of this I am not entirely sure but I would believe it would fail emissions & inspections tests.

This is why I'm went with the Greddy Kit as it supposedly passed emissions and inspections.

are you in cali? if you are, i'm not even going to offer help, because i don't live there, but all i know is that it sucks.

if not, most other states don't give a shit what you do, so long as it will pass the sniffer.

if you are obd2, and they use a scan tool /diag. port tool plug in to check for emissions, you're fucked.

uberdata is like hondata, but its free. ecumulti.org/uberdata is the website if memory serves.

do exactly what u said, put the greddy blue box back in, ur injectors too and make sure ur put the kit back to stock boost if u turned it up, the greddy kit will only pass if it is set to stock, i had the same issue on my old greddy kit. Make sure u find out what cel is on and fix it cause u wont pass visual if u have a cel showing. The only other way to pass is to tune it to pass and that not worth time tryin to detune the car to pass smog, just put it back to stock smog it and now u have 2 years before u have to do that again.

If a vehicle is actually tuned properly it should pass any emissions tests. When we dyno tune anything here at the shop we can gauruntee it to pass e-test!

Well i hope so, as i love the power of the turbo, and I just can't imagine driving it without it now.

I will take it to a local shop in my area as they seem to be the Honda Specialist, where they can hopefully tune it right.

That is once i get back from Iraq.
