my suspension has been making noises for awhile now and i want to do something about it. i'm sure it has the same 16 yr old shit that came on it from the factory. i just don't know what i want to do. what are some of the better affordable det ups for this application. i was thinking about getting progessive coilovers and some es bushings. i know they sell tein coilovers on ebay, are those any good? i just want to know what all you guys are riding? and if you know a site that offers a good/fair price.

I would save up, and get new bushings, new struts and progressive springs. It's entirely worth it. The change from my worn-out EG suspension to ES bushings, KYB's and Eibachs is like night and day.

agx's and some eibachs will be great for your app. plus changing out your bushings will make it that much better. good luck

just be aware--- the 88's use a different front lca than the 89/90's and the 91's, so make sure you get the right app.

IMO, the best bang for the buck right now is the onmipower coilovers. full deal for about 600 bucks.

Rear LCAs, not front. You can just pick up a set of 89-91 rear LCAs and bolt them up- junkyards will just about give them away. That's what I did with Katie's car to mount the shocks from my 89 CRX Si to her 88 LX.

where can I go to get some?

Agreed, thats what I run and the Sportlines I have pwn the HP Racing coilovers I had. I may end up moving on to full-coilovers later on, but right now, my AGX's and Eibachs kick ass.

no one has anything on tein?

i have tien HA's, and i'd never buy another tein product.

they aren't junk, but IMO, you can do so much beter for the money. i don't like the ride characteristics of them at all. too much bound, not enough rebound

Nothing worthwhile in the "I'm just thinking about shocks/springs" price range. For $600 you can get the Tein Basics, but at that price point there are MUCH better alternatives.

try robearracing.com

only sells the rears for 450

never mind found the full kit

another alternative is the ksport/d2. from what ive read on HT, theyre pretty good and cost just a little more than the omnis but are adjustable and you can select different spring rates.

i don't think they make the agx's for an 88 crx si. i could only find them for 89-91. are there any alternatives to the agx's or do i not know where to find them for a 88?
