I came in at the very end last year, this year Im making a point to watch every show.

Who else is into it? I dig it becuase I know everything they're doing. I get more into it (yelling at the TV) then I do Football.

who else digs it?

I watch it as often as I can.. I HATE wrestling, but love UFC.. You should pick up UFC 1-6.. OMFG.. Its nothing like it is today.

Great stuff, I often find myself yelling at the TV too..

Love it. I get wayy too into it though. I have a friend that does it as an amateur at organized fights around WI and is kicking ass.

UF-who?

I was watching FSU beat Miami. Take that, hurricanes! Pieces of shit!

Yeah, the UFC show is pretty good, I watched the last 3-4 espisodes of the season last year, it's decent.

One thing that bugs the hell outta me is it doesnt seem like you can do any throat chokes. They always leave it wide open, yet the guys never go for it. I know theres a shitload of UFC rules. no small joint locks and so on.... guessing you can do blood chokes just no airchokes or if it is air it has to be done by your leg or arm higher then your elbow.

either way it's still a great show.

fuck UFC, do any of you guys watch pride fighting?
Wanderlei Silva could take ANY UFC guy in his weight class (and a lot that arent i bet). Kazushi Sakuraba is bad as hell also. He beat UFC bad boy Vito Belfort no problem a while back. The 2003 Pride Champion called Sakuraba the best grappler in mixed martial arts.

The rules are more relaxed, and some UFC guys also fight in Pride. Rounds are 2 10 minute rounds. Its awesome.

But speaking of UFC, did Jermey Horne beat Lidelle?

edit: a little more info on Sakuraba if you dont believe me...
"Among them, a rivalry with the Gracie Family, which garnered him the nickname the "Gracie Hunter" (after successive victories over Royler, Royce, Renzo and Ryan). "

beat that shit! :D

that rule is basically an umbrella to cover any overly flagrant conduct that was not covered in the rules. example-getting something from the corner and throwing it at an opponent. wasnt in the rules, but is now covered by this umbrella rule.

UFC owns me.... i watched the last half of last season, and that bonner vs griffin fight, i still cant get it out of my head..... best fight ive ever seen.

i dont have cable in my apartment though, so no Ultimate Fighter this season :sadpanda:
