What a huge move. To bad Apple fanboys. Can't brag about the "power" of the G5 processors anymore.

There are also rumors of Intel buying Mac and then dropping support for M$ products in an attempt to overthrough M$.
Also, the PowerMac dual G5 is NOT the best for everything. Sure it rocks for everydday shit and for video, but for what I do (3d graphics) my Xeons will kick its ass....and for less than half the price.

that really is the only thing killing apple, entry price is too high.
i saw something the otherday that a G4 1.33GHz laptop w/ 12 in screen and 256MB of ram is $1,000. Thats just not even cool.
If apple can compete with PCs then more manufacturers would make software with mac support.

^^ Thats why I don't have a laptop. In my opinon, laptops are a complete waste of money. You're paying more for a computer that sucks.
Dual Xeons, gig of ram, 500gb of HD space, less than $1900.

The sooner OS X is released to the PC market, the sooner all us Mac users are filled up with spyware and viruses. REALLY bad idea on Apple's part if this is what they want to do. Companies and hackers will start writing spyware programs for OSX instead of windows, then one of the major selling points for me to buy a Mac in the first place is down the shitter.
I hope they dont do this.
