Does the studs need be threaded before putting the head cylinder on?

And how do you loosen up ARP HEAD STUDS from a GSR?

Any input is helpful.

Thanks

what do you mean threaded? they come threaded. Last time i bought them they supply me with a tool. i heard they don't do that anymore. but you can buy a cheap StudStaller at pepboys or auto zone for 2 bucks. it's more accurate and more safe than just screwing than darn thing in.

you could screw one FLAT nut on the stud then another FLAT nut on top of that. make sure they are TIGHT together, turn the bottom nut and the stud will come out.

remember to lube the stud before installation and make sure that there's no debris on the threads.

1. screw head studs into block

2. drop head down

3. torque the nex nuts to whatever the kits says. 75lb or whatever
