b16 tranny question

So I have the jdm b16 cable trans no lsd. I know they have really short gears and all but I took a little road trip this weekend and at about 70 mph I was at 4k rpm to me that's extremely high. I don't know if any work has been done to the trans. Does that sound right?

Yes that is right. 5th gear sucks in the B16 transmission. That's why you read of so many guys running a LS 5th gear in these transmissions.

Yea its a good idea as you never use 5th beside cruising speed... and 75mph at 4.5k for 1600 miles is like ridding in a bee hive the entire way lol
