Does anyone know if the crank pulley bolt on a JDM B18C motor opens clockwise or counterclockwise? I've already snapped two 3/4" sockets trying to open it and I read that it opens counterclockwise on a USDM motor but I'm wondering if it's different on a jdm motor? I'm about to go to the tool store and get some deep impact sockets to see if I can budge the sucker. Please let me know.

on my jdm b16 the bolt went counterclockwise. i used a breaker bar and on the opposite side of the crank used 2 flywheel bolts and a pry bar to keep the crank from moving.

Thanks guys I got it. After 2 cheap home depot sockets, a craftsman deep socket did the job. I tell you though the helms says torque it down to 130 ft lb but I must have put over 200 ft lb on that bolt to break it loose. You guys should see my home made crank pulley holder :D
