ok ive had the stainless headers before but i guess i didnt do something right so was wondering what i could do to keep them clean after the install and to get them to turn the blueish/purplish color with out turning that nasty brown/greyish or what ever

<--- dont know

from what ive experienced, they usually look good for a while (shiny/colorful), and then eventually turn into a sort of dull grayish color. maybe if you could keep water from splashing on them when it rains and you periodically polished them it would help.

keep them from getting wet and you will keep your nice colors.

i know the heat turns them the blue and purplish i just want to try and keep them that way and was trying to figure out what to wash them with before i turn the car on so the dirt/oil and whatever doesnt leave those marks
