F23 Head Bolt To A H23 Block

Ok here is whats going on, I was buying parts to build my F23 block, the rods which I just recieved are the same as the H23 and I have the chance to pick up a H23 block for like $100 than I can get it sleeved and then install the rods I have and get some pistons for it! Also can I use the F23 crank, then I would have like a 2.4 L.

While the guts may be interchangeable, you're going to have the same problems putting a SOHC head onto a DOHC block (not to mention the F23 is VTEC and the H23 isn't) as anyone trying to put a DOHC head onto a SOHC block.

You won't gain any displacement, I don't think, since both are 2.3L.

Ya the only thing is if you used the crank from the F23 it is a bigger stoke than the H23 but I think I will just continue building my block rather than switch , thanks anyways!
