The first Porsche ever built has been untouched since 1902. Officially called the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton, this electric car from 1898 has 'P1' engraved onto all of the key components standing for Porsche 1, done by the then 23-years old Ferdinand Porsche himself.

That's cool. Not that a true value could ever be put on it, but it makes you wonder what it would sell for at auction if it ever made it.

so in 112 years we've gone from a range of 50 miles to a range of approx 300 miles for electric vehicles (Tesla Model S)...
we've really missed out on advancement in this area
it will be interesting to see what happens in the next 100 years.

it finished 18 minutes ahead of 2nd place and was the most efficient

Porsche: not fucking around, since day 1

There wasn't an incentive to use electricity to power cars until now. Gasoline and Diesel have historically been cheaper than electric service per kW.
