Flywheel Question's

I have heard a couple of different people tell me to get a flywheel. so i want to know what i gain by switching out my flywheel i have a 88 si trany with a Z6 engine looking to do a turbo kit and drive tran in the next month or so please help me.

lightweight flywheels have a lower rotational mass, so they alow your engine to gain RPMs quicker... they also dont take ad much force to spin, so they transfer more power to the ground... your engine will lose RPMs quicker when shifting, this makes rev matching easier/quicker and puts less strain on the synchros in the tranny
