Holy hell in a handbag, what are you getting for gas mileage out of these things ?! It's like a fucking Expedition !

It's going to get about 225 miles from this tank, which is horrendous. That's like 17 mpg, which was the point at which I rebuilt the 4Runner - Because of the poor mileage

Great god damn

Not even hard on it !

With my mods and tune, I'm getting about 300-320 miles from a full tank, depending on how I drive it. I've got the stock turbo and injectors, and a host of bolt-ons mods.

Sounds like there's a problem, but as far as tracking it.....I guess you just go about the normal methods. Try some fuel injector/engine cleaner (BG's?), make sure tires are at the correct pressure, etc.

You're filling the tank with 91/93, correct?

i don't have a WRX, but I get ~260-280 to a 16.4 G tank if I'm hard on the audi. I've seen 350 with mostly highway with 40-50 or more miles at 120+...then I ran out of gas.

I think the point of the thread was to find out what other WRX owners are getting for mileage, but...

Since you posted your average, I'll post mine. :p

In the Q-ship I get about 250-300 miles out of a full tank. I think the tank is 18 or so gallons. Costs 45 bucks to fill it up (it takes 91) but that's cause 91 is hovering at 2.50/gallon right now.

thats the cheaper places. I've seem regular 87 around 2.20 in jersey.

NY is a different story. I don't buy gas there but passing by, its like 2.28 for 87.

I couldn't justify paying $41 for a full tank. I'd have to fill up every other day unless I went to work and back and that's it.

At the low end fuel here is
87 - $2.15
89 - $2.25
91 - $2.35
With a +$0.10 fluctuation.

Anyway, I've been talking to some owners and reading around on the web and they are reporting 17-23mpg, with a RARE claimed 25mpg in the mix. I am not amused.

Whats the factory mpg claim? I thought like 20-23mpg or 22-25mpg.

Yeah, those are the ranges. 22 City, 25 highway. That's what I would expect from a turboed AWD car. But the first tank of gas, dealer "installed" was more than likely the wrong octane (Cheap) and the A/C was on. Not too mention, not too experienced with the car. Now it has a real tank of gas, and the weather is nicer than the heat wave. It may get better, we'll see.

I need to install gauges in the car so I can actually know what I'm doing to the intake manifold.

89 - $1.94
91 - $2.04
93 - $2.20ish (little hard to find)

the sti is a pig, i'll tell you that much. 14 gallon tank, and it lasts me about 200 miles. lol

and thats just normal driving.

boosting hard all the time, i'd be lukcy to see 100 miles out of the tank,.

100 miles out of a 14-gallon tank?

Damn, boy, that's like 14 miles to the gallon! My V8 gets better than that! Shit, my 460 might even do better!

if i'm hard on the audi, I get 15-17 mpg. I'm hard on it more than I should be too.

over here itz about the same
im in Boston MAss
it cost me 16.00 to fill my d16z6 hatchback
but fort he accord
its like 25$ to fill up
and the civic gets more mpg

you're lucky.

It was $36 to fill today cause I was no where near an El Cheapo station.

This has nothing to do with audis or hondas though.

AND....its time for an oil change already. I've put like 3100 miles on that bitch already.

No it isn't. Even regular old fossil oil is good to 5k miles or more.

The 3000 mile myth is dead. Changing your oil that fast actually PROMOTES engine wear in some cases. By all means change the filter, but changing the oil that fast is just wasteful.

nah i have to...I don't know when it was last changed, so I just waited 3k more miles. It could be at 5-6k for all I know.

After this I probably won't change it for 5-6k more or... uhh 2 months.
