Ok so about four months ago I left my BMX bike at a "friends" (friend B) house, it was there for two days. He calls me on the third day and askes me if I came and got it because its not in his garage. I said no and got instntly pissed, I had about $1000-800 in building it so it was kind of a major loss, atleast to me. So a month or so passes and I got over it and started bumming extra parts from friends so I could part together a bike to get me by until I come accross an extra grand to build another. Then last weekend Im hanging out with some friends watching some BMX videos and I said something about how Im pissed about my bike, my good friend (friend A) tells me that he was talking to the kid who had it at his house. (friend B) sold my bike to some kid and told me it got stolen, so now Im really pissed that someone is going to say they are my friend would do something like that. So my question is how should I go about confronting the kid about it/getting my shit back, or do I just say fuck it and not worry about it?

well, which one is a better friend. the one who sold the bike or the one who told you about it? find out who is more reliable and go from there.

if the guy sold it, ask for the money. if not, just beat his ass and don't talk to him.

don't even consider court. wont happen. not gonna get a thing.

Ive known them both for like 10yrs, the guy who told me what happened is a very good friend of mine and I have no problem believing him because the guy who sold it started getting into pain pills and coke real hard. So he was fiending out and sold my bike for drugs/drug money is what I figure.

werd. find out the facts first. then get your money. if not beat the shit out of him, with gloves to hide your hands, and then tell him he's got a week to get you money or coming back for another beating.

I know Im not getting money, best case scenerio is I just get my shit back, but stealing something of equal or greater value did cross my mind. But I really dont need any other blemishes on my record, I just got out of trouble and I dont need theft and assualt charges.

I dont know who has it, if I did I would surely get them involved. All I know is the kid sold it to someone, I kind of have an idea of who, but getting the kid who sold it to telll me who is going to be the hard part.

getting information out of him is easy... you just need to get creative... make it within his best interest to tell you what you need to know... but remember you need to be sure that he is giving you good information and not just telling you what he thinks you want to hear or what he thinks will make you go away

a little water boarding goes a long way

I know this but its not like I left it at his friends friends house, I trusted him enough, and from just looking at it unless you rode you wouldnt think it was worth much, so whoever he sold it to knew what they where getting. Im just really dissappointed that he would pull that shit on me.

he snorted the bike.
or find who he sold it to and maybe talk to that person or cops. maybe you can get it back 'possession of stolen goods' or something.
you're prob out a bike. but consider yourself lucky, this friendship could have cost you more.
