I left town around Friday May 18th 4:30pm and returned Sunday May 20th about 6:30pm. Noticed my TV and computer headphones were missing and things were rustled around. Refrigerator door was left open as well. No other electronics or valuables were stolen.

Initially I was confused at how they entered as none of the door were broken, no windows in the immediate house were broken, and when i returned all of the doors were locked still. After the officer arrived i noticed blood on the floor in an addition to the house (which used to be a garage, but is currently only used for storage. The blood lead me me to a broken window in this room. They also broke a lower crawlspace window but probably realized that you cant get into the house from under there.

you can see blood on the window and there were a lot of spots of blood that look like this:

leading from the window to the door entrance into the rest of the house. Both the responding officer and the Crime Lab officer were confused why there was so much blood in the first room and none in the rest of the house. The burglar(s) were not even smart enough to wear gloves, and the officer lifted a right pinky print from the window they broke, though the officer did say that the print wasnt that good and that it probably wont turn anything up. They took blood samples as well. The Crime Lab officer also mentioned that the blood looked dry enough that he thinks this probably occurred Friday night/Saturday morning. Crime Lab officer also noted that the intruder was wearing Nike Air Force One shoes and that he "sees that a lot" lol.

I had my guns and most of my ammo with me, so they did not get stolen either. They are lucky I wasnt home, but if i was who knows if they would have still attempted this.

no idea who did this, i don't really have any enemies. no one other than my brothers and 1 or 2 close friends knew i was even out of town. i always leave the lights on too (mainly for my cats). the lamp that was on had been unplugged (plugged in near the TV).

The TV that was stolen was a 42" Panasonic Plasma that weights about 75lbs and its not too easy to carry with one person. ive done it but its slow and awkward.

Dang man. Well you can hope they get get genghgrene and lose an extremity before they get ulimately arrested. Then they're defenseless when they get sent up river for 2-3 years.

yup cats were fine. the thieves closed the door behind them. they didnt get out, or even into the room with the broken window.

damn.. thats shitty.. one reason i have someone stay at the house and that sir is the reason i leave my dogs inside when i leave.. my neighbors house has been burglarized a few times (different tenants each time tho) .. Daisy wouldnt let them in the house if they tried.. she wouldnt even let my sister-in-law in the house w/ a key.. lol

Yea man, that sucks. They sure bled like a sonuva though. Too bad they probably won't run the theives DNA for breaking in. Hope they catch the guy though. Too bad you don't have ninja star throwing cats. Glad they're ok!

I have a couple good neighbors that i always let know im going out of town in case somthing like this happens, maybe it could prevent this but i doubt it

looks like some fucktard watches too many movies and tried the ole elbow breaking the window, either that or they punched right through it.
i would think it had to be an arm cut to bleed that much

glad you're safe and no one was hurt

not sure, there really isnt any blood on the glass. looks like they broke the window with a 4"x4" that was laying on the ground outside. possible that they cut themselves on glass shards while climbing through the window.

Why they didn't just clear all of the glass out of the window before climbing through it its beyond me.

Oh, just realized it was a slider. Didn't notice that at first.

wow that sucks, glad it's just cosmetic and material dmg. By any chance did you post something on facebook saying you were going away those days. Maybe will give you a clue on who might have did it?

i posted a "check-in" on fb on saturday night. the crime lab guy/officer seems to think the break-in occurred before that though because of how dry the blood was.

other than that only my brothers and 1-2 close friends knew id be out of town

nope. i went out of town to visit some friends in WV who i havent seen in a while. went to a horse track and casino Sat, then range shooting on Sunday.
