I would like to know if it is possible to visually identify an Integra Type-R gearbox and tell it different from the GS-R gearbox.

They both use the same code of S80, so I need something else to differentiate them.

Thanks

Look through the differental. If you can see through it it has LSD, which is standard on ITRs, and only an option on GSRs. There should be a stamp on the top of the case that says LSD also. Other than that, the only true way is to take it apart and look, if you don't know what you're looking at though, it doesn't help.

check the clutch fork it should read "p80" that the part number for jdm itr, that what mine reads...and the lsd stamp...

Are you sure the JDM GSRs don't use this same part? That would make a good way for future reference.
