so, this morning i walk to my car, ready for work, and not feeling bad about the day. i notice my gas door is open. i think 'what? i didn't do that did i?' feel the door... it's unlocked. already i'm thinking, 'please, not again... fuck' and when i do...

papers all over the floor. ATM card on the baby seat. all cd's still there, stereo missing. i get out and go to put my trunk cover down, and already i know what i'm not going to find. my 3 month old speaker, gone. my 3 month old deck, gone. an old jacket gone.

WHY do they take the stupidest shit? ok, coulda took ALL my cds, but no.

the security around here blows. in fact, i think they TELL them where to go.

now keep in mind, the hatch on my trunk won't hold itself open. so, there HAD to be more than one person to haul that box out of the rear and one to hold up the hatch.

sorry for the rant, but i know a lot of you guys feel my pain. i just can't stand this. it's the fourth time this has happened to me. from MY house. now, i can leave my car unlocked with the windows down in the middle of the town, but i can't keep my car here?

wtf?

i get paid tomorrow, and god damn it, i'm buying one of the best fucking alarm systems money buys. i'm tired of this shit. seriously. and i'm not giving up my car.

i just hope they get what's coming to them down the line. i don't deserve this crap.

No wonder you weren't really talkative a few hours ago.

I'm sorry babe. That's why you should definitely move out here.

i had my 5 month old Alpine cd/mp3 player stolen out of my truck about 2 weeks ago. fuckers left my doors unlocked except driver and my sliding rear window open. i had all my doors locked, windows up and rear window shut before so i know they unlocked it. fuckers. i had to put my stock tape radio with tape player back in.

Eek. Sorry to hear that. I have yet to have something stolen from any of my cars.

lucky. 3 years ago I had my old radar detector and about 100 cds stolen from my Escort.

I live in a small city, and I never locked my doors... up until that night.

A short while after I moved out (maybe 8-10 months ago) I got a call from my parents asking me to drive by around midnight whenver I had the chance because some kids tried to break into my dads Jimmy the night before. I guess they knew he kept his wallet, cell and cigarettes in there and rarely locked his doors. But for whatever reason, he started locking them. That night I guess the alarm went nuts which woke my dad up, but they all ran off by the time he got out there.

A few nights later I drove by and saw four kids walking down the street. I pulled into the school parking lot a few blocks down and came back down homestead. I turned my lights off and stopped just behind hte house on the corner as to where I could see them. Sure e-fucking-nough these dousche bags started walking towards my dads truck.

So I called the cops and had them send a squad car out. I was surprised that they responded immediately, he must have been close to my parents house because I no more than got off the phone that he came down the street and the little fuckers just scattered. Both my parents and I have a pretty good idea of who they were, but lately I haven't had any word on them coming near my parents anymore.

I really wish I had a paintball gun sometimes.

BDN- that's fubar. but at least you have tunes of SOME kind. i'm without ANYTHING. And to top it all off, my stereo system was my birthday present from my hubby. Cost him around 300 bucks, but it's all worth WAY more. at least i do have a hook up on nice replacements, but i assure you, the next time... my alarm will go off... because i'll have one... and if necessary, i'll shoot the bitches with pellets. or paintballs. chase em down... kick the shit out of them.

lots of good that does ya if you aren't near the car, or never hear it-- like in misti's case.

i'm still trying to save up for this alarm

And a lot of good it does if the thief is next to your car.

I dunno about anyone else but I'd feel like a total dick if I shot my own car with a 12 gauge.

its probably some one you know.....

I've had a chunk of stereo stolen.. The "faceplate" of a non-removable faceplate pioneer stereo. They hit the dash with screwdrivers trying to pry it out, But I'd bolted one of those braided ground straps from the back of the radio to the floor of the car. It was a great ground, and they didn't make off with my whole stereo. I'd rather have half a stereo thats broken than know that some thief is off enjoying it somewhere. They missed the CDs in the front seat, and the 2 12" speakers and amps in the back. I think they got spooked.

I've had my entire CD collection stolen 3 times. About $6-8 hundred dollars each time. Now I keep my cds at home and cary burned copies in the car.

Yeah, I hate thieves.

:werd:

yo wont' find 1 real cd in my car.

hell, you won't find any cd's inmy car anymore... I burn all dvd-r's now :) 4gb on a disc a pop-- way less clutter.

I had a friend that got his deck stolen when he went in the mall for about 5 minutes in Ottawa, and to top it off he had three sets of expensive RCA cables for his amps and they broke the plugs off them when the pulled it out.

The next time he went to Ottawa he had his sub box ripped off, with both amps attached to it.

Now he bolted his amp upside down under the passenger seat with the wires hidden, and bolted the sub box to the trunkfloor from the inside before he put the sub in.
