Yea. that's IE7

and that, my friend, is why you SHOULD care about standards.

if yahoo was smart, they would make it standards based, and not give a shit which browser you are using.

IE3 will work with this site.. so will NN4.7...

but, it will be very, very plain.

its all about usable degradation.

if you want it pretty, and how it was MEANT to be, use a standards based browser.

see, think of it like this.

if you bought a k-mart brand thermometer
and then you bought a tommy hilfiger one or some shit.

you would expect that 32* is still 32* on both, right?

the world would fall to shit, and nothing would work with one another if there was not some standard to which all should apply.

all the ISO, all the IEEE, and for us, the W3.

if your inch was my foot, everything would be chaos.

opera, konquerer, mozilla, opera, safarri, and a bunch of lesser-known browsers all follow the spec.

IE follows about 60% of it.

so, i guess 60% of 1 foot is an inch?

:bash: IE

Well yea, I understand about there needing to be a standard, but it seems no one follows it completely, some more than other, but none 100%.

No matter which browser I use, on which OS, this site always looks the same. As a matter of fact, all of them do, except Yahoo...maybe they are fucked up.

Is there a site you know of that doesn't so I can compare the two side by side out of curiosity?

no, that site is fubar in CODE.

thats how it was CODED.

ie just decides to make it look like it wants to. and since that "developer" probably used frontpage to make it, it comes out like shit.

it is not a microsoft world, and i am not a microsoft girl

err, boy...
