so i got a ls tranny with 40000miles for my ls when i put it in. it grinds going into second..yea i know probably the syncros. but if i put the stock ls shifter in do you think it would help, right now there is some p.o.s. short shifter in there that i didnt feel like taking out at the time of swap. could this be part of the problem? what about new shifter bushings..
if shifter not the problem, has anyone taken an ls hydro tranny apart? will i get myself into a big mess trying to change second gear syncro myself? i have built motors, did swap myself, and am good with tools and shit..
