Mike's Major Picture Spam...

First set is inside Intercrew, taking pics of the underside damage of my car, and pics of the new block. You guys can figure it out... I don't have time to write descriptions right now.

Second set is of the new CRX and all the extra stuff I got with it as part of the sale. It's kinda junky, but hey- it was a good deal, and it's not supposed to be pretty. What can you expect for $1600?

Extra engine

i was under the impression that a zc was a DOHC nonvtec? that appears to be a lonesome cam in there, whats up?

yeah the ZC did come single cam a long time ago... i do believe it was a 1.7L... but im not sure

but i do know for sure they came in single cam

Of note is the 1.6l SOHC VTEC PGM-Fi engine as used in the JDM Honda Civic Coupe and various current generation EK-series Civic types although having the same capacity (1590cc) with same bore and stroke is coded D16A instead of ZC.

This is annoying,and the reason why it was said there wasn't a ZC vtec.I have seen the SOHC carburated EG,very weird.

Yes. eventually. I have to put on the rear discs, swap out the springs/shocks, fix the bodywork, put on the HX rims, etc- I'll have a huge list of stuff to sell later.

ZC was available in SOHC and DOHC. The engine specs are in our reference section. Honda basically stamped their highest performance D16 engines in JDM land with "ZC" in the 4th gen- it didn't matter if they were SOHC or DOHC. The DOHC is just the one that everyone here wants to get. The SOHC only makes about 120-130hp, compared to the DOHC's 130-140hp. It still feels nice and strong though.

That's what most of the ZC engines bought/sold in the US look like.

The previous owner was a body guy. He pulled the dents out of the hood, sprayed on about 4-5 layers of primer, and was using the black paint marks to check and make sure he was sanding all the areas down. The hood just hasn't been painted to match the rest of the car yet.

1.6L

The D block didn't come from the factory with 1.7L until 2001. The SOHC ZC's geometry is still 75mm bore x 90mm stroke, just like all the D16s.

The guy I bought it from had some huge bling-bling 17 inch Konigs with crappy BFG Euro TA tires on it, and he wanted to keep them. He scrounged up three rims and two donuts- I added my "spare" GSR/S-03 on there to keep from having to drive on a donut. Ghetto, yes- but HX rims/tires are in the mail. I didn't want to drive around on his 17" rims with rubber bands anyway!

Yup. Here's what's on it right now:

14" Integra LS wheels up front, 195/60/14
14" CRX Si wheel on back right, 185/60/14
15" Integra GSR wheel o back left, 205/50/15

I didn't want to stagger the fronts and force the LSD to work against me the whole time I was driving, know what I mean?
