mini-me timing

i have a z6 head im putting on my b8 block my question is how do i make sure the person that had the z6 head put it to TDC b4 they took it off...also how should the timing be set will the marks line up and work correctly?

hehe u dont have to put the head to tdc. and the mark line up and will work fine

yea i do cuz if i dont i will bend a valve

everything needs to be at TDC before you reinstall the timing belt.
use the marks on the cam sprocket, should be an arrow with UP on it. or 2 marks to flush it with the head surface.
