cai
60mm tb
2 1/4 exhaust

things i think i need...

distribitor form a d16z6
intake manifold from a z6
z6 head

things i have no idea about

is there work needed to the block or the head to make it work
what gaskets to use
is my alternator going to work with it
what belts are needed

any help would be great

New head gasket (D15B8 or D16Y8 for compression bump)
Timing belt from the year of your head or newer.
I'm pretty sure you need a D16Z6 harness
all i can think of.

just a social comment.....its not fair that i paid in excess of 7500 for my ek civic a few months ago,

and some guy who has a dx civic (for less $$ ) can do the mini-me thing and come out with more hp...

im not hating, i just wish i knew about it before i was in the market for my ex....i might have gotten a dx instead.

oh well.

good luck w/ ur mini-me conversion.

i paid 1400 for my car :p

anyone else? help please!!!

2' or so braided steel oil line with two female A/N fittings
3/8inch NPT to A/N adaptor
1/8inch NPT to A/N adaptor
1/8inch NPT T-fitting ( two female sides one male)

you will also need to plug the heads oil gallery

D16Z6 harness( i pretty sure i dont need this but would make it easier) i beleave i only have to add a few wires for vtec to make this work.

is there anything else needed?

i also need a new water pump

damn...

how much did the entire mini-me process cost you?

and how can it beat a b16 swap?

what are the exact specs that allow it to be so quick?

sweet! im not sure.... i m hoping its on the head... it noti think i can get it from the person i m working with

I believe all 92 Civics are wired for VTEC, even though some don't use it....look for 2 unused plugs near your distributor, one should be green, and the other should be gray I think. I have a complete Z6 IM for sale (see classifieds) You'll need a P28 ECU, a Z6 timing belt, Z6 head gasket (or y8 if you want more compression) I would replace the intake manifold and exhaust manifold gaskets while its apart. Once you take the head off of the B7, you will see an oil jet on the block, near the top. Throw that in the garage somewhere, you won't need it. Just make sure you have a shop manual or at least know the torque order and how much to torque it to.

i have a b8 not a b7.... i read somewhere and i heard of a few with the b8 bottom. b7 and b8 have the same piston part number so i m sure it will work
