Rest In Peace
I picked up a set of fat five's and put them on. and so far they seam to be the best rim so far that I have driven on.
i have had a set of 13" rims (winter rims) and I have a set of 17" rims
but when I put on the fat five's just everything seem to be better with them. the stearing seemed like I had power stearing, it doesnt ride as rough. and even seems to handle better.
I have had all these rims on my crx.

my 13" rims I have 175/75/r13 tires and on my 17 I had 205/40/17 tires, and on the 15 i have 195/60/50 tires going to change to 195/50/15
so I wondering between the different tires and rims that I have had. what would make it different between the 13" and the 15"
the 17's I hated cause they always rubbed and had no tire so they were a rough ride but I cant figure out is that the 13 have plenty of tire.

does the size of the rim between the 13 and the 15 make that much of a difference to feel like the 15's were made for my car?

Idk, but i like having 15's, even though 17's ride rough and might rub i still think they handle a little better. But 15's are better!

The difference is the suspension is better made to run a 13"-15" rim, 17"s are too big, and throw it out of whack. IMO 15" w/ 195/50/15's are perfect for a ED/EF/EG

but why is it that the 15's just fell better in every way compared to the 13's
my crx now feels like I have powersteering, with the 13's it was harder to turn the wheel. the ride is smother with the 15 over the 13's

its probably mostly the tire...

Haha, I was just about to say...but yea, they feel better because you can run a perfect size tire on them. Not to big, not too small, wider than the 13"s, but still more than managable than a taller wide tire like say on 17"s. I have 16" they are awesome as far as control and road feel, but the fact that they are a hair too big is pissing me off.

would 16's on my crx be better than the 15's or overkill

IMO 15"s. I'm not to hype about 16"s on an EG which is bigger, so 16"s on a rex to me is obnoxious.

sweet.
now should I look into 195/50/15 tires or stick with the 185/60/15 (which I am suprise dont rub)
I know that the 50 series would be better for handling. what your opinions

I always use a 195/50/15 when I run 15"s, you could try 205/45 or 40 15"s, but I go with what I know.

I don't think they make anything smaller than a 50 series in a 15". 16" is the smallest wheel you can get a 40 or 45 series in.

I'm pretty sure here in Germany I have seen 45/15's, I know we have a Yoko size that isn't availible in the states.
