Just did an obd2 to obd1 ecu swap and now the engine wont rev over 5000.

Reconnected my obd2 ecu it runs ok, but i just need to switch to obd1.
Could it be wiring problem?

ANY comments much appreciated.

is your obd1 ecu socketed and chipped? sounds liek a rev limit to me.

Running d15b vtec on an obd2a and runs fine.
Got a p28 with obd2 to obd1 harness and now got the prob.

No p28 is stock

Note that the current motor is an obd1 so it should be the other way round  thats why i donno whats happening

Run it off the obd2 non-vtec ecu you have. The P28 is a vtec ecu, it's not going to run a d15 well.

:bash:

JDM d15b IS a sohc VTEC motor.

the p28 shoudl work fine.

either your ecu is fucked, or your conversion harness is fucked. most likley, its the harness.

do you have any CEL's?

Heh yes pissedoffsol.

Well i got a o2 heater cel, but i am pretty sure that it wont put the ecu in limp mode. I will eventually get a 4 wire o2, but i dont think it will solve the prob <_<
Damn
wtf .. everything works great its just this rev prob over 5000.

At least your revs up to 5k..My brothers wont pass 3.5k which i believe is the limp mode rpms.
