i was wondering if 4x114.3 rims would work on a del sol they are 16inch

nope unless you convert to the 96 spec JDM ITR brakes which are a 4X114.3 lug pattern. A stock civic/del sol/integra is a 4x100mm lug pattern.
In additon, converting to the 4x114.3 brakes is really stupid here because honda never made a US car with those style brakes, so it is IMPOSSIBLE to find off the shelf rotors for them as the preludes/accords that are 114.3x4 are WAY too big, and pretty much the only way to get new ones are through japan, and have fun with that.
