94 del sol ,d16y6, throwing code08.TDC sensor,faulty sensor or connection.
Changed distributor and ohms are above 400,continuity of orange and orange/blue all the way to ecu pin outs good.Unmolested car and wiring in great condition.
Any ideas on what elese could be causing fault code 08 TDC?
Also checked with another ecu and throws same code,also code was present on original distributor and as per code replaced.
Have double checked timing visually by removing both covers and checking both cam and crankshaft timing in relation to timing belt and with timing light at harmonic balencer.Set at red mark (16*) with standard timing light.
Question? - Do I need an adjutable timing light?
It will have a hard start issue and wife says it will have low rpm fluctuation,as if in limp mode possibly,this is her daily driver and commutes with.
Remember,completely stock,unmolested car,never any issues with ecu and ecu has been checked with another known good ecu.Connections good to ecu pinouts and distributor checks out good.
