My feelings are mixed on this one. I'd love to see an Alaskan president who will develop our resources and lessen our dependence on foreign oil, also bolstering the Alaskan economy, but I know she'll just be a puppet for the GOP and, like Obama, will wield no real power.
I'd also like to see a strong conservative in power, but I don't think a female president is a good idea. My reasoning behind that is this: the presidency has been developed into a concentration of very strong powers. The president uses these powers in favor of organizations based on how they lobby to him/her. Putting a woman in this position where the focus of her efforts will be heavily swayed by emotion rather than rational logic is extremely troubling.
