Here are some pics of the car in rough stages of fabrication. It took some work to make the front mount fit as well as it does. I had to do some cutting on the radiator support as well as some welding of brackets.

Here are some pics of the quaife install. This was the first quiafe I installed but it really wasnt too bad. The quiafe is an awesome unit. I cant believe the difference in cornering and traction it makes! I think it is one of the best upgrades for a boosted car period.

This was crunch time right here. It was either make it or break it! I have never been so excited and nervous at the same time, it was the weirdest feeling I have ever had! The car fired right up after turning it over for 20 seconds or so several times to build oil pressure. I only had one leak. It turned out to be oil and it was leaking from the moroso pan. Moroso has a spot to add a oil temp sending unit, it comes factory installed on the pan. But they neither tighten it all the way or put teflon thread sealant on it. I put sealant on it and tightened it on my first oil change which was only 30 miles or so later. That took care of it. Right now I am only running 10lbs of boost with a rich tune of about 11.5 afr in boost. I also pulled out a degree of timing per pound of boost also. I currently have about 300 miles on it, it doesnt smoke or leak at all. I am waiting to get some more miles on it then I am going to add 2 to 4 lbs more and do some more tunning. Then I can finally burn a chip and get my ecu off the floor! Even on 10 lbs its quick! I get lsd wheel spin towards the end of 2nd with yokahama spec 2 on 17's. 2nd gear takes you to 65 at redline and it gets there like that! 3rd goes to 100 and is just as fun. The car came out how I had it pictured in my head all of this time. I cant wait to build another ass whooping machine like this one! If you have seen my other thread for the all motor ls/vtec build in the crx I will be updating it soon. That car is freaking amazing, just wait till you see the new pics I have. I dont have any power numbers yet. I have everything to tune properly. But my favorite tunning spot is gone now. The only dyno I will use is a mustang dyno and the only people in town that have one I dont like. But after I bring the boost up and get it tunned to where I want it I will make a couple power pulls at the dyno and post one up.

Well I know that this thread is kind of old. But the other day I found pics of the engine build, I thought they were lost on the hardrive but unbelievably I got them back. So here is a few pics of when the motor was getting built, it was pretty.

How have those IC pipes held up. I see you welded a bracket to the frame. That's going to give you trouble down the road. You should have just left it alone so it can flex. Other than that....it looks great. Get us a video,

I wanna see video footage as well. Can't wait til I finish my hatch. 300whp on the street is so much funnnn. :D

The intercooler piping has held up with zero problems. I have mostly urethane mounts including the avid urethane torque mounts. Drivetrain movement is basically non existant, my dash rattles pretty good. The bracket keeps the pipe centered in the opening so it is not rub up against the car causing problems.

sick build. But he is right get yourself a new intake manifold it will open up your motor a little more. at least go with the type-r IM if anything.

I didnt get the car finished to late last summer so I have a few things I want to do with it now. I am getting a new manifold, probably this peakboost manifold that I like. I am also going to get a different intake manifold and do a 3 inch exhaust all the way back. Right now I only have a 2.5" downpipe connected to greddy evo2 exhaust. So that will really help it breath more. I am also considering a slightly smaller intercooler but it does fill pretty quickly with the specs on the turbo.

I definetly want to get some video posted up here of this car. I am going to work on that in the next few weeks. Also I will be finishing up that project crx and updating that thread as well, the link to it is in my signature. I have been waiting for parts for that. But I will keep it all updated.
