rims with tire specs (215/45/17)
i will give these rims to my brother, im notsure if they'll fit cuz the wheels on the hatchback look so small. will they rub?
thanks

Anything bigger than a 16" on a civic look like ass.

215 should be fine tho,but it is the height of the tire i would be worried about, not the width.
If the car is lowered the tire will rub the fender, depending how low it is.
I tried out (for about 1hr.) 205/40/17 on my 93 hatch w/2" drop and they rubbed the top of the inside fender well when i went over bumps.

it should fit..... and um, if thats your pic....you look great.... whats your name? welcome to honda swap B) :welcomeani: :welcomeani:

17" 215 will not fit if the car is lowered more than 1/2 a fucking inch, they look like shit, and will handle like a fucking whale. The only hope would be 205/25/17, and then it would still look retarded.

 never heard of that size.
I had 205/40zr17 on my 94 civic dx when I had the car and it was lowered 2" - 2 1/2"

i've seen many many civics running 17's and being lowered...

you may need to roll the fender a bit, but they should fit...

those are kinda wide tires for a civic though...

i've seen 215/40/17's on first gen crx's, 88-91 hatches with 1.5-2.5 inch drop, 92-95 civics with 2.5 inch skunk2 drops, 90-93 accords, 90-2001 integras with ease..

That's one I am not even sure if it exist.

I have had 17"s on my car....for about a week. I was in the nmddle of a 4x114.3 conversion, and had 4x100 on teh back, the only rims I had local that had dual lug patterns were 17" with 205's...yea, they fit, sure, till you hit a pebble.

The smallest aspect ratio you can get in a 17" width is 205/40, which will rub if you're lowered more than 1.5"

My civic was down 2" and I had 215/35-18s but I also had a widebody.

When you guys post your "I ran 17"s and never rubbed" stories, include offset, and then explain how you made it not rub inside or out with a tires much bigger thanthe car was designed for.

Maybe on an EK, but on an EG/EH 40mm offset and 17" will not fit without rubbing. I have 16" 40mm with 205/50/16 (close to a 17 with 205/40/17) fenders rolled and I rub once in a while during cornering.

SAME HERE :)

i run 16" rota gt3's with a 205/45/zr16, and has a 2" drop in an eg hatch, i had to roll the fender lip back a bit, more in the rear. but before, it rubbed bad. now it only rubs when i'm hitting some seriously hard corners.

Your drop is a little more than mine (I have GT3s too :) ) but you have a smaller tire :(. I guess I have to push my buddy to buy these so I can get the 15" Superleggeras :D

i have no idea what my offset was but i didnt do anything to them. never touched my fenders, nothing.

just put them on and rode. never even got an alignment and i ran them for over 2 years and never once scrubbed. not during sharp turning, nothing.
